Along The Pacific Ocean

The calm and quite ocean always attracts people and hence San Diego, the city with several beaches alongside Pacific Ocean has become one of the most important tourist locations in US. The city is not only being visited by Americans, even people from Asia and Europe are visiting here frequently. Hence almost all major international Airlines from Asia and Europe such as British Airways, Korean Air etc are plying flights to San Diego. Most of the airlines are offering best airfares too. Still, when we planned a trip to the city we tried our level best to get maximum discount on air tickets. We purchased cheap tickets to San Diego and started in one fine evening.

As mentioned earlier, San Diego has several beaches along the shore of Pacific Ocean and beaches are the main attraction for the visitors. The life over here is very active with people engaged in different types of recreational activities. The loose sand provides a good ground for playing beach volley and we could see many people playing the same in small groups. Children were playing in the sand and several others were enjoying the sea bath too. The shallow beach side provides a safe place for sea bath. With the introduction of cheap flights to San Diego, the number of people visiting here to enjoy sea bath has increased enormously in the recent past.

The city has a number of nature preserves too such as Torrey Pines State Reserve, Mission Trails Regional Park etc which provides you a chance for nature tourism also. The city is an important destination for shopping too. There are many small retail counters along the streets which mainly aim at visitors. They usually sell handicrafts, apparels, fashion wears etc. There you will get the dresses of latest fashion for a cheaper price. Thus the city can satisfy all types of visitors and that could be the reason for increasing popularity of the city as a tourist destination.

We used to visit many places including the nature preserves in the day time and the evenings we spent on the streets. Even though we had a little shopping, we really enjoyed the occasion. It is quite enjoyable to be a part of the crowd in the street visiting each shops and bargaining for a better price.

San Diego excels in art too. It has many venues for performing arts. Most of the venues will have some cultural programs everyday and the local artists who perform at these venues will certainly take you to new heavens of pleasure. Though we have come back from the city, the life over there is still alive in our minds.
